Description

The double footbridge at the Arganzuela Park crosses the Manzanares river , linking both riversides and providing the City of Madrid access to the new Arganzuela Park.

The footbridge consists of two single span bodies: one 150 m long with a main span of 115 m over the Manzanares River, and one 128 m long with a main span of 96 m over the park. Both bodies meet at an artificial hill, from which pedestrians and cyclists may enter the park.

The main bearing structure is a spatial truss with circular cross section which diagonals are curved rectangular tubes inscribed in a tronco-conical surface.
