Description

The Sant Jordi Sports Hall has been built in Barcelona as part of the complex for the 1992 Olympic Games.

The concrete structures forming the greater part of the sports hall, including stands and boxes, provide adequate support for the large roof structure. The participation in the design and construction process of the roof made it possible to provide specific solutions and adaptations which notably improved the initial design. The roof was assembled at ground level and lifted into its final position by means of hydraulic jacks using the Pantadome system.
