Project details

Technical Data

  • Total length: 1,100 m
  • Main span: 124 m
  • Width: 27 m

Description

This Project applies all the features of strict composite box systems on a large bridge.

The main section is a rigid-frame structure with 2 twin-piers in prestressed concrete which are connected to the bottom slab of the box girder in such a way that the bottom flange plates, pass completely outside. These plates are connected to the webs which are topped by the upper flange plates; these being connected to the prestressed deck slab.

The continuos sections of the skyways are similarly designed in areas of negative bending moments.

The steel box girder has been launched from both abutments with special attention to the variable depth stretch.
