Description

This bridge was the winning proposal and the first Spanish bridge using stainless steel for its central monumental composite pier. The stainless steel draws attention to the strength and purity of the structure’s simple geometrical shape.

The bridge deck is composed of four precast, prestressed concrete box girders and a concrete slab which is obtained by casting a concrete layer  on top of precast plank elements. The recesses in the abutments recall the shape of the eye-catching central pier.

The design of the bridge has a clearly urban feel with non-structural aesthetic finishes of high quality.
