Project details

Technical Data

Buiding total area: 13.000 m2

Description

The comprehensive rehabilitation of an office building on 23 Miguel Ángel Street in Madrid implies the creation of a new vertical circulation core, the complete replacement of the outer and inner facades as well as the demolition and reconstruction of the roof floor to equalize the free height on the top floor with the rest of the office floors.

From a structural point of view, the interventions include the opening and closing of openings in office floors to create the new core, the construction of a new stair from the foundation to the roof, as well as a new roof floor, made in concrete solid slab. Carbon fiber reinforcement is placed on the most requested areas of the existing floors and the underside of the floors is consolidated to improve their durability and fire resistance conditions.
