Description

The new headquarters have been built in several phases, corresponding the first one to the the design of the data processing center (CPD) of the entity and its annexed offices (Abelias Building).

The planned structure consists in reinforced or post-tensioned concrete elements, such as columns, walls and slabs. Solid slabs have been designed in order to minimize the floor thicknesses, and steel and composite structures have been employed on the roof to hang some of these slabs on large patios.

In underground storeys are parking areas and the main facilities or CPD, topped by the ground floor that includes landscaped areas, access and control. Above ground, the geometry is modular, with post-tensioned slabs of 13.00 m span and slabs of 0.30 m of thickness, which are supported on reinforced concrete columns. There are strong steel trusses in roof level, which hang with ties some areas of the below composite floor.
