Description

In this building of particular structural interest, the top and lateral roofs are connected at their common upper hinge joint to create a large internal space which is closed at its rear by means of a heavy concrete wall. This wall is zigzagged as if it were a large folding screen so that it can resist the wind load whatever its direction.

The selected modular prefab system enabled a construction process where both roof elements could simultaneously be erected and connected to each other without needing to prop them thanks to the fact that they fulfilled that function themselves.

The internal structure, which is, although on a small scale, highly complex, orchestrates the large internal space which, together with the beautiful external cladding, gives the building its strong appearance, internally as well as externally.
