Description

The structure is part of the Perafort-Alcover branch lineof the railway between the Mediterraneancorridor and the Madrid-Barcelona high-speed rail line.

The bridge deck of the viaduct is composed of two trusses transversally connected to each other by means of built-up steel beams. The trusses are Warren trusses made of rectangular hollow members shaping equilateral triangle panels which diagonals are positioned at 30º to the vertical.  The upper chords being parabolic, panel length and truss depth vary, the latter reaching a maximum of 6 meters.

The lower chord cross-section is 0.80 x 1.10 m while for the upper chord the cross-section is 0.80 x 0.40m.
