With its 237 m (219 above ground), the Torre Espacio Building, became the tallest building in Spain when it was completed in February 2007.
The structure is composed of reinforced concrete cores and solid floor slabs which are prestressed in some cases. The building has a ringed structure which connects the central core to the outer columns.
At the lower part of the building, two large transfer girders provide a great concourse at ground level.
A 4 m thick prestressed mat foundation transfers the loads to the soil.
