CÁDIZ TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWER - TAVIRA II

Project details

Technical Data

  • Height: 114 m

Description

This tower of reinforced concrete differs from others of its kind because of the shape of its shaft. This special shape is formed by the union of the frustum of a cone and a triangular prism. This arrangement gives the tower an appearance somewhat like a ship’s keel cleaving the wind at the sea shore.

The reinforced concrete structures of the multiple service platforms and the capping elements are, although not characterized by particular strength requirements, evenly worth mentioning.

The tower is set on the sea shore as if it were a modern, fully equipped lighthouse. This expressive  appearance is enhanced by the white cement, sand and aggregates of the concrete chosen for this structure.
